I took my camera with me on our AM walk, but Dreyfus didn't do
anything photogenic, so I decided to dedicate today's picture to this stick.
I have been monitoring it for almost two weeks.
The nearest tree is ~100 feet away, so how did the stick get to its resting
place?
The stick has been sinking a little bit each day, as it absorbs heat
and slowly melts through the ice.
By tomorrow morning, it will probably be down to the ground.
Dreyfus and I almost always walk the same route, but it's
never really "the same."
There is always something new to see.
